URGENT NOTICE:
As you may be aware, the Malaysian government has just announced that the next General Election will be held on 19th November.

RSYC is making every effort to ensure that Malaysian citizens have the opportunity to vote if they wish to and that participating in RMSIR will not prevent them being able to visit their registered voting centre.

This directly affects the Raja Muda Regatta as many participants, plus staff involved in the operations, will want to vote on that day, which is when Race 1 from Port Klang to Pangkor was scheduled. Therefore we have changed the schedule of racing to have the start of Race 1 at 16:00 (moved from 12:00) Sat 19/11/2022, so that people can vote on their way to RSYC to start the regatta.

Currently there will be no other changes to the schedule, with registration on Thursday (17th) and Friday (18th), with the skippers briefing and welcome dinner on friday as planned, although this is all subject to change. As Race 1 will obviously have a later cuttoff time, the Pangkor dinner and prize giving will be later to allow for boats to arrive at Pangkor.

Because there may possibly be some boats that cannot start Race 1, even with the delayed start time, there will be 1 discard given of the worse scored passage race. (See new version 5 NOR ; Item 10.1 - download from website)

Race 2 onwards is still as per the current plan. We will be without the usual Marine Polis support until we get to Penang, but are currently working on alternative logistics.
