Race Route & Tracking

This page contains Race Route information on Google Earth maps, AIS & GPSGate tracking during the regatta, chartlets & navigation notes, plus any technical data we may issue before the regatta.

Due to certain local restrictions with re-transmission of tracking data the AIS tracking facility will be restricted to certain areas. If you have AIS or DSC equipment on board then we can add you to the regatta fleet so that family and friends can see where you are. Once setup you can also use this page for tracking your boat between now and the regatta, so you can even see how the delivery trip is going. If you use AIS/DSC, or similar tracking systems, then please email webmaster ., so we can enter your details and set up the tracking group.

Google Earth details are given for information only to assist with locating hotels etc. they do not in any way form part of the NOR or SI.

AIS & DSC tracking

During the regatta we hope to show those boats using AIS transponders, althougth the limited range of class B transponders may restrict reception to certain areas. AIS & DCS reception relies upon the skipper providing us with the boat's MMSI data.
