Any payment must include your boat name and entry ref number, otherwise it may not be credited to your entry.

OTHER
CARGO transportation (tenders, outboards, delivery sails, etc) will be available for anyone wishing to send equipment direct from RSYC to RLYC … online prebooking available will be available later in the year.
It will also be possible for you to send personal bags via cargo and have access to these at Penang during the stopover – no bags will be sent to Pangkor.
Your online registration will automatically calculate and display the current total fees due based on maximum quantity of your estimated / actual crew entries… so please ensure the correct crew levels as shown on the on-line statement / proforma invoice BEFORE making payment.
We will again be laying a limited number of mooring anchors at Penang for anyone wishing to rent for the duration of the stopover. Booking of these is now on the online entry page.
TERMS
- Any fees prepaid are subject to the following cancellation fees if the entry is withdrawn from the event:
- Cancellation between 1st September and 1st October – 50% of fees prepaid refundable.
- Cancellation between 1st October & 1st November – 25% of fees prepaid refundable.
- Cancellation after 1st November – 0% of fees prepaid refundable

Regatta Info Pages..
… flying into Malaysia via Malaysian Airlines or other major carriers will land you at KLIA 1 (KUL), with Air Asia flights using the adjacent KLIA 2 terminal.
The best method is a taxi/Grab direct from the airport to RSYC or your nearby hotel. If you are staying in the centre of KL then you can use the train (cheaper & quickest) to/from KL Sentral station.
Those arriving via Firefly & some Malindo flights (or private jet !) arrive into Subang airport (SZB) – the old KL International airport, which is much closer to the yacht club. From there a taxi/Grab to RSYC should be half the cost (and time) from KLIA. Alternatively via bus or taxi to KTM Subang for Port Klang.

From the south use KESAS toll highway (E5) then follow signs to Southport. RSYC has signs posted along the route
From KL centre use FEDERAL highway (E2) through Klang town and continue right to the end of the road at Port Klang KTM station, then follow signs to RSYC.
From the north follow NKVE toll towards Klang, then Shapadu toll highway towards Northport, then signs to KTM Port Klang and RSYC signs.

KTM railways have a commuter service between Sentral KL and Port Klang (Pelabuhan Klang).
DO NOT get off the train at Klang station – continue to the end of the line at Port Klang. Last train to Port Klang (Pelabuhan Klang) is 23:20 (weekdays).
most of you will be arriving by sea so here are some chartlets to assist with navigating to RSYC.
Please call RSYC when you near Klang so that we can advise of berthing as well as tide state. Try to arrive around slack water, preferably high tide (-2hrs) as the river and ebb tide combine to often produce 4 to 6 knots current past the club pontoons. Download Navigation notes for RSYC

- Approach call “RSYC” on VHF 72.
- Berthing will be at RSYC pontoons
- Registration Office will be in Club main building near the pool
- Flagpole will be at the top of the bridge to the pontoons
- Party will be in Main Clubhouse
- Approach and Ferry call on VHF 77 – callsign ‘Regatta Control’.
- Berthing will be at anchor in the area shown on the instructions — # Refer to Skippers Breifing, Skippers Notes and Regatta Guide for latest information regarding Starits Quay – There is extensive reclamation work which changes approach and berthing on a constant basis.
- Office will be signposted from the pontoon exit.
- Flagpole will be at NE corner of the marina near the ferry pontoon entrance
- Party venue TBC
- Berthing at Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, plus at anchor to the north of RLYC
- RLYC marina office is on VHF 68 – contact them when approx 10 minutes away.
- Berthing will be allocated as follows:
- 20 berths on first come first served basis @ 40% discount until Monday morning.
- Multihulls @ +50% surcharge
- Utilities for all boats @Electricity – RM 0.60 per kilowatt
Fresh Water – RM 2.00 per day - Diesel – RM 2.00 per litre (subject to change)
- Office will be on upper deck near the pool, as indicated by signs
- Flagpole will be by the security hut on the ramp to the pontoons.
- Party is at Royal Langkawi Yacht Club starting at 19:30 Saturday.
